Why I Document
I started filming because I wanted to share what I was experiencing — not the highlight reel, but the actual feeling of being out there. The scrambles that scared me. The sunrises nobody else saw. The quiet moments between the big ones.
Storytelling, for me, is about honesty. It's about bringing people along on a journey that's real — the wrong turns, the weather, the moments where you wonder what you're doing out here. And then the moment it all makes sense.
How I Tell It
Film
Long-form YouTube documentaries and short-form social content. Cinematic mountain films, campervan adventures, scrambling routes and the stories that happen along the way. Shot on location across the UK and beyond.
Photography
Landscape, adventure and documentary photography. The light on a ridge at golden hour. The team at a summit. The van parked up somewhere it probably shouldn't be. Images that try to capture the feeling, not just the view.
Drone & Aerial
Aerial footage that puts the landscape in context — the scale of a mountain range, the line of a ridge, the isolation of a wild camp. James handles most of the drone work; together we find the shots that make the place feel real.
Writing
The journal is where the longer thoughts live. Route notes, reflections, the things that don't fit in a caption. Writing is how I process the journey — and how I share the parts that don't photograph well.
